groundhogs day

so it is the day of the hog.  mommy sez that he-- punxsutaweyney phil --did not see his shadow today, so for sum strange reesun there will be 6 more weeks of winter.  whut duz a groundhog know innyways??  I tink dat it shud be basset hound day.  cuz we basset hounds are always optimistick for springtime and summertime.

I tink I see a Basset Hound shadow!  so springtime is coming!!

but thin mommy showed me this pitcher...

dat is frum today...my ball is all frozened up  and a cold sky is overhead..  stinkink ground hog.
