cold and snowy day

it is preddy cold out today so mudder sed we might not git to go for our walk.  That makes me sad and depressed.  I tried to keep myself busy watching the weather out the frunt window.

but that got boring.  so mudder sed "come on Percy, let's go out back and catch snowflakes on our tungs!"

                                            it was a blast and the snowflakes tasted rilly good too.  

grate idea mudder!  snow days don't have to be bore days!!!!

counter surfing

It is winter olimpic time right now and I came up with my own sport!  Counter Surfing!!  I wish I could be in the olimpics to compete.  I wud get the gold medal for sure!  This is whut I did tonight while dinner wuz being made.  I counter surfed and taked a big bite of a head of lettuce!

mudder yelled out No Percy, don't you dare".  but I dared.

why is it callt a head of lettuce inyway?  it does not have a body....

my gud slumber

I wuzzed so tired after agility yesterday that I dent evin bark out once all night long.  I slept thru the entire night.  this wuz me whin mudder came to git me up this morning.  I wuz still tired a liddle!

do you notice that I use my baseball glove toy as a pillow?  it kind of jest looks like my ear.

i am learning agility!!!

I em SO happy-today wuzzed my very furst real agility class and I wuzzed SO happy!  mudder sed that I wuzzed in hog heaven.  I thought we were in a barn, but I gess pigs are in barns, and maybe that is heaven to pigs....   I dent know.  I evin tinked about it for a while, but it never did make iny sense.

I cud not wait to start learning.  I did so gud and mudder wuzzed laughing and laughing.

I barked out in excitement a lot of times.  I gitted to run thru tunnels and go over sum jumps!

thin sum udder doggies showed up and I watched them work and thin I evin got to work with them!

whin mudder sed it wuzzed time to go I gave her my saddest Percy face in hopes she wud change her mind.  it dent work, but she sed we git to come back next week!  I canz not wait!!

my table

mudder sez we has to start sum training with my table becuz I am going to agility class soon.  sumtimes she will tell me to go to my table, so I do that.

other times I decide to go to my table on my own.  I always make sure Mudder sees me becuz I git a nice treat when I do!  I can not wait for agility class!

this wuz going on in my frunt yard tonight!  we had sum nice deers come for a visit.

I wunted to go out and meet them but mudder sed "no no Percy", "they might kick you"  So I jest watched frum inside my house.  I tink gitting kicked wud be a bad ting.

agility kitty

Well lookit who helped herself to my practice agility tunnel!  BRONWYN, the indoor attack  mountain lion.  I cud not evin believe my eyes.

She entered with such determination

and quickness!  I wuz all jealoused up.  I barked out to my mudder to git that beast out of my tunnel

mudder taked pitchers and sed good cat. she evin gave her a big pat on the head.   lookit bronwyns liddle mouth-she does the tunnel with her tung hanging out...like she has to concentrate all hard about it or sumpting.  mudder sed "look out Percy, Bronwyn is stealing your thunder".  mudder sumtimes duz not make sense to me.  there wuz not iny thunder.  at least that I cud hear. but maybe I dent hear iny becuz I wuz too busy making pouting sounds.

I smelled a hippity outside this morning and looked all around for it.  I raised my head up as long as my neck cud go to look for it.

I gived a good sniff and my nose pointed me this way...  it is a good nose!

he almost jest looks like sum rocks, but my nose canz tell the difference between rocks and bunnies

Tallulah has become a gud frind of mine.  I tink she is so interesting.  and she tinks I am so funny.  she has a bucket she goes in to to make a nest out of her bed time sheet cover.  it is the strangest ting I ever watch.  I em mesmerized by her odd ways.

she gits all happy once she has her nest finished.  maybe one day she will lay an egg in her nest!

I wuz sleeping all sound whin all of the sudden grouchy pants ASA decided he wunted to share my bed and snuggle with me.  I tried not to notice and pretend like I wuzzed sleeping so deep.  I tinked maybe he wud jest go away back to his own bed.  

but he did not.  he jest crammed right in.

HOWDY pardners, it"s National Stock Show time in Denver.  Mudder sez that means there are horses, and cows and goats and chickens and rabbits and all kinds of rodeo shows and auctions.  I wished I cud go but mudder sed no dogs are allowed.  I dent understand that-who cud let a cow in, but not me??

The biggest snowball evar

jest lookit whut me and muddder finded on our walk today!  a ginormus snowball.  I wuz so cited about finding it.  It smelled so gud.

Spruce Mountain

Me and my mudder taked a very long hike today up a mountain callet Spruce.  We hiked to the top, then all around the top, then back down.  Here is Spruce Mountain.  It is preddy close to our house.  You canz also see Dawson Butte in the pitcher, we go there too.

It wuzzed a liddle chilly to start out, but we warmed up when we got on the trail and I started pulling.
Mudder sed  "don't you pull so hard Percy, my shoulder is sore.  And it is slippry and we might fall on the snow and ice".  I tended I did not hear her and keeped on pulling.  Here is the snow and ice.  It did not keep me frum doing one of my favorite tings--climbing!

 about 1/2 way up I heard a train frum down below!  I membered that I ruv trains, so I ran to the edge to watch it go by!!  it wuz a long way down.

bye bye train... innyway it is time to start to hike up agin.  there were a lot of cool rocks and tings.

we came along a fallen over tree and mudder told me to go and :paws on" it.  So I did!  and I posed all nice.  mudder sed I wuz a good and handsum boy.

so I jumped off the log and gived mudder a big happy Percy Grin.

we sure had a gud time.  and my whistle told us that we hiked 7.2 miles.  here is our neato path.

I cud not beeleve my luck on our walk today.  I commed around the corner and there wuzzed a hippity!  I froze in my place and we had a stare off.

Thin I made a run for him.  

I dent git very close before he runned away.  he wint right in to that liddle hole under the storage unit.  someday I will git closer!

becuzzed of my Dr. Vet I got a big brand new knucklebone all my own...and I gitted to chew it a lot today!  my teeth will be clean in no time at all.

teeth check up

 I went to the vet today to see if I need to have my teeth cleaned.  I wuzzed a liddle scaret becuz last time I came here I had to stay becuz of the rock I ate.  I look scaret huh?

but my vet is so nice and gintle, and he sed I dunt need my teeth cleaned-I jest need to chew on a big knucklebone!!  Gud news all around.  I jumped up to look for the bone.

mommy telled me that she has to go git one frum the store.  I can hardly wait.

Rattie day

My mudder taked me to practice barn hunt today.  I has been such a gud hunter at home that she thought I would be super duper gud at finding those ratties!  I wuzzed so cited to be back!

I jest cud not wait to git back in the barn!  I had such fun with mudder hunting ratties-it wuz so much fun that I decided I jest wunted to have fun and jump on the judge and I even left the barn!  it wuz a great time.  when we left there wuz a lake in the parking lot frum the melting snow.  

then I posed in sun pitchers, cuz mudder tinks I em so cutie.

it is snowing

finally a lot of snow is coming down!!!

I rilly like it becuz it makes it easy to see where the hippities are!!!!!
