no, that does not stand for grade point average... GPA stands for grouchy pants asa.  here is me and my grumpy frind.  he has axilly been much nicer to me lately.  we play togedder and have howl fests.

I bet that you did not know that my frind used to be a show dog!  he was a gud one too.

show dog

I tink I am growing in to sumtink mommy calls a show dog.  I has sure gotten bigger and I tink I am a nice lukking Basset Hound.  mommy sez, "oh, Percy, you are coming so handsum", "you luk jest like a doggie in the show ring".

anudder movie

I em sharing this liddle video cuzzed it makes me proud of my hiding spot.  it is the best spot ever.  nobody ever knows that I hide my tings there.  jest me and mommy know...  bit if you watch the lidddle video you will know too.  so peas don't tell innyone, specially old man Max.  turn up your volume too.

wagging tails

usually I jest sit in my chair and watch the squirrels gathering nuts for the winter.  I am not made for hunting them.  so I rilly don't care much about them.  here I em lukking at one.  canz you see him at the tree bottom?  I tinked for a minute that he might go do the weave poles, haha.  but squirrels are not very smart, like me.

thin mommy sed, that I shud go git him cuzzed he wuz eating all of the bird fud. 

so, I chased him right up the tree.  and we wagged our tails at each udder.  my wagging tail wuzzed telling him to stop eating the birdie seed.  his wagging tail wuzzed saying no.

Well, I gotted in a liddle trubble agin.  I bashed through the gate trying to git to mommy win she gotted home frum work.  I wus so cited to see her and I wunted to jump on her and give her a big welcome home kiss.  but I jumped on the gate instead.  it broke all down.

I evin broke down a peace of the wall, do you see it hanging off?   I turned around and lukked at mommy with my cute smile and sed oopsie...

mommy sed "Percy, you are a notty boy, but how can I git extra mad at that sweet face." still, I tink I did hear her saying sum bad words cuzzed it taked her a very long time to fix the gate back up.

i am disturbed

This is so worrysum to me.  whut is it for?  why would this happen?  sumbuddy is wearing a rubber doggy face over their own hooman head.  I canz not figure out why this is evin an option.

Sum fryday the 13th digging

today is a spooky day.  it is callt Friday the 13th.  becuz it is a Friday and the calinder says 13.  mommy sez to look out for black cats on days like today.  she sed it is a bad luck day for sum reesun.  but today I had gud luck, cuzzed I wuzzed digging and mommy dint evin tell me to stop.  usually she sez "Percival, stop that digging right now!".  but today she jest took this liddle movie of my strange digging behavior.  (that is whut mommy calls it).  I hope your volume is up cuz I ruv the scratching noises my claws make.

I ate a big prize

mommy sez I did a bad ting.  I eated a $50,000.00 Cheeto off the counter. There is a speshial Hallyween contest to find a cheeto that luks like a monster.  Mommy finded a grate cheeto that luked jest like a mummy.  But I eated it right off the counter.

elefunt ears

did you know that Basset Hounds can move our ears to which ever way the sound is coming from?
Here I em doing it.  I tink elefunts can do it too.

mommy wuzzed calling me from that direction saying it wuzzed time to come inside.  I sed "hark" and turned my ear to be like a lisening horn.

i finded a new spot

we has a liddle pluming problem so Phil wuzzzed working under the sink.  As soon as he leaved I had to go has a look around under here.

but I has growed so big I cud not evin fit all the way.  innyways it wuz not that cool.  

winter

Mommy wuzzed right.  it is winter today.  I steel wunt to play so I taked her kitchen towel outside.

and I givved her this cute face.  so she chased me, but I ran back inside and hid behind grouchy pants

I evin closed my eyes so mommy cant see me.  BUt black and white told her I wuzzed there.  So I had to give up the towel.   I goed back outside and runned thru the snow.  It is fun, but I gitted cold.

a storm is coming

Tomorrow it is going to be winter so mommy sez we has to do sum yard work before it comes.

me and mister pants

we are both Basset Hounds.  Just different colors.  But mommy sez that all Bassets kind of have the same habits.  like how we lay down when we sleep.  see?  we are the same.

evin our faces are the same.  Black and white and red and white.  but still the same!

                              This is how Max sleeps.  not like a Hound at all.  jest like a Max! With his head up in the air--how canz he stay asleep like this?  my head wud be too heavy to hold up during sleep.

we are not sick

we are jest fine after our hike yesterday.  I did not git a upset tummy from drinking wastewater and mommy did not git poisonous ivy.  so now I can share sum of our fun times frum our wok yesterday!

a liddle hike

we taked a nice wok togedder today and finded sum rilly cool tings.  right now there are budderflies that are doing sumptink callt migrating.  and they are migrating thru collirado.  there are lots of them

this is one.  mommy sez it is callt a painted lady.  it doesn't luk like a lady, it luks like a budderfly, becuzzed it is a budderfly.  but it duz luk like it has eyes.  it is very preddy.  just like a lady I spose.

                                                            uh oh, this poor lady is not going to make it south.

thin we finded sumtink mommy callt cat tails.  I dent understand cuz they jest look like some sort of bushes or trees.  I dent see iny kitty cats or their tails innywhere.  

by now I wuz a bit tirsty so I goed and hassed a liddle drink.  mmmmm rocky mountain spring water

but thin we sawed this sign.  oh no, do you think I jest drinked wastewater?  what is wastewater innyways?   mommy came and pulled me out of the river and sed no more rocky mountain spring water for you today Percy.  she had to go down in some grass and leaves and bushes and stuff to git me out of the river.  whin we commed up the hill we turned around and thin saw this sign...

oh golly miss molly...we are not hasing a gud experiences today.  whut if mommy gits poison ivy becuze she had to git me away for drinking wastewater??  we will both be sick.  but the gud news is...we will both be sick togedder.

watch it winsday

At this time of year me and mommy go and watch the marching band at the high skool.  Olivia is in the color gard and she marches with flags and rifles.  It is so citing to watch them practice.

Harvest moon

Tonight wuzzed the harvest moon.  mommy sez that it is callt that because it is so bright that the farmers can harvest their crops by the light of it.  and it is that time of year for harvesting.

Canz you wee the full moon behind me?  I mite use it later for hunting at night.  but no more dead ratties, and no more bringing inyting iside the house.  Jest to hunt for fun...in my backyard...for worms only.  heehee.

I jest membered whut comes out in full moons-werewolves and vampires and ghosties ...

I has to run fast as I can back to mommys car.  Lets git out of here fast.  I tink I hear the wolfman.

Hunting Percy

Do you member the pitcher when I wuzzed hunting ratties with the flashlight?  Well lookit this!
                                                   I finded one!!!

I evin bringed it inside.  Mommy wasn't wearing her glasses and she thinked I bringed in a pine cone-she sed, "oh Percy, I ruv it when you has a pine cone.  It makes your breath so piney fresh".  Thin after I had it for a liddle while mommy commed over and sed it wuzzed time to hand over the pine cone.  She picked it up and shrieked out "EEEEEEK, Percival, WHAT IS THIS?"  She putted on her glasses and sed "oh, no, YUCK!" and throwed it in the sink.  Mommy was not happy with my hunting tonight.  She sed now me, Percy, won't have nice piney breath, but now I will have mouse mouth.  sorry mommy, sorry.

October already

me and mommy finded this cool area right here in cassle rock.  it is callt Memem ridge.

it is very priddy and we were all alone walking on sum trails.  I has to stay on my leash becuz mommy sed that she wasn't fimilier with the area.  and, there might be raddlesnakes.  eek.

but mommy sez I can come off my leash for stay pictures.  bucuz she stays "Percy, stay"
