paradise cove

yesterday on our way home frum the land we decided to stop and see Paradise Cove. it wuz so cool.

                                      we taked a hike down a trail and over a cupple of creeks.

                                                   thin we had to climb up and over sum rocky areas to git to the cove.

  a lot of humans jump frum the top in to the wadder.  yipes.

it is only 10 feet deep in there.

we started to hike back out and mudder sed "hold on Percy, I want to go luk over the edge"

I holded on.

but mudder wuzzed gone forever and I wined and wined and barked. mudder come back.

she commed back and sed, wow, it is a long way down.

on the way out I went over sum more rocks over the creek.

I stopped to have a liddle drink of ice cold rocky mountain spring wadder.  nom nom nom

I wunted to go in for a quick swim, but mudder sed "no no Percy, that wadder is freezing cold"

thin I saw sum cows, and all of this is why I ruv living in Colorado.

bye bye cove, bye bye cows.  my life is preddy grate, don't you think so too?

a day at the land

we taked a nice trip to Guffey today to hang a new wildlife camera in the woods. it will take surprise pitchers of all of the wildlife while they are minding their own bizness.  deers, elks, rabbits, birds, bears, mountain lions and mudder sed evin bigfeet.  I finded a lot of cool tings on our hike up the mountain.  here are sum.

mudder telled me it is callt scat. I tinked that wuzzed whut you yell at a cat to make it go away from you.  innyway, here it is.  lots of it.  do you notice my nose in the pitcher?  it likes to smell scat.

a birds used up nest.  I went peepee on it.

now it can never be used agin.

some deer or elks fur.  do you see my big snout in the corner of the pitcher?

at furst we thought the fur   wuzzed porcupine quills.  

I ate it.

I chewed it all up.

A COUPLE OF COOL BONES TO CHEW!!  I picked them up and started to run all proud.

mudder sed  "oh Percy did you find sum antlers?"  

then she saw whut it rilly wuzzed and screamed out "oh hell no, Percy"

                                          I had to drop them down and leave without them.

me and mudder were going to take a selfie when I decided to eat mudders ponytail instead.

this is the salt and mineral block that we put in camera range to chum in the wild creatures.

I gave it a lick.  it wuzzed preddy gud. 

thin I went and standed in the camera range to see if I wud trip the motion sensor-I did! thin mudder sed, "Percy, get out of the field of view, you are wasting pitchers".  do you see the salt blocks?

 we finded that nature built a pitcher frame-so we sed cheese.

thin we played a liddle bit of hide and seek...can you find me?

homestead trail

today mudder told me she needed to clear her head out and that we were going to splore a new trail in Castlewood Canyon.  I wundered whut wuzzed in mudders head, but i wuzzed happy to go splore.

this is callt the homestead trail head.  I'm so cited, I made a happy face.

I looked out over the trail 

I saw sum cool tings-like this liddle tree growing all by itself.

while I wuzzed running and pulling I made mudder tangle up and this pitcher got taken.

how can she be mad at this face?  thin I made a joke and sed, "whatch you talkin bout Willis? and gave this face....  mudder forgived me right away.

Agility class today wuzzed grate.  I worked on learning the dog walk.  mudder is so scairt that I mite fall.  she sez "be very very careful Percy".  after I did it rilly careful mudder sed "yay, gud boy buddy" and she clapped and wuzzed relieved.  So I decided that since she wuz so happy I could take a liddle roll in the dirt and she wud not git mad!

                                                    She did not git mad, but I sure got dirty!!

today my mudder and me went for a quick hike.  well, it wus not rilly quick, but it felt like it becuz it wuz not 2 hours long.  innyway, the weather has been so nice and we injoyed our time outside togedder.

I started the wok with a nice roll in the dirt, then injoyed a very nice view 

I sed come on mudder, hurry!!

we has a lot of places to go and see.  but mucdder sed, "no no Percy, we can not go that way...

so I climbed a rock and squinted instead.

we found the path again and wokked down sum stairs to visit the river.

it had sum ice on it and I wunted to wok on the ice but mudder sed no, that I cud fall thru.

so I jest lukked frum above frum a rock and a bridge.  I did not see iny fish today.

so we climbed back up the stairs. and I gave a bark out.

hurry up muddder, there is still a lot to see.

I wuzzed trying to be a helping companion and bring my owners their newspaper but thin my puppy brain took over.  I decided it wud be fun to chew it up.  I wuz not very helpful after all.  mudder sed "thanks a lot Percy, you even ruined the bag that I collect for picking up poopies." naughty naughty naughty.

we were driving along today and mudder sed out loud "oh my heavens there is Bigfoot"!!
  "Percy, we has to pull over for a pitcher, we are going to be famus!!"  So we pulled over.

                                             it wuzzed jest a tree.  we still are not famus.

mudder wuzzed using this towel to wipe snowy doggie paws after we go out to potty.

but I wuzzed bored so I played chase with it.

my mudder taked this pitcher in Alaska.  a big ole bear had just wokked right along where she wuzzed going.  she likes it a lot so I thought I wud take a pitcher of my paws wokking where she would wok too.

Today at Agility class we got to work outside and I started to learn new quipment like the tire jump and the a-frame.  here is me going up on over on my furst try to go up and over.

on our wok today I caught a scent of sumptink that smelled rilly good.  I wuzzed not sure exactly whut it wuz, but I wuzzed sure that it smelled very gud, like a bunch of diffrint foods...I followed the scent and lookit whut I finded!        Somebuddy lost piece of their mouth, oh no!

I wunted to has it but mudder said "no way Jose", "you leave that mouth piece alone".  I wondered who wuzzed Jose.  we left the piece of mouth there and finished our wok.  

the weather today is cloudy, I call it  cloudy becuze I can run thru them, see?

I tried to taste the clouds because when they are in the sky they luk like cotton candy, so I wuzzed hopeful...but it did not taste like anything.  except maybe air.

thin I saw a big hawk flying in the clouds so I tried to chase him.  I did not has any luck catching him.

I learned 3 tings on todays wok.

1.humans can lose pieces of their mouths right in the middle of the park.

2.clouds don't taste

and 3.doggies can not catch flying hawks.

sumtimes these are my favrit kinds of days...  time to go back inside and chew my bone by the fire.

winter olimpics

I has watched a lot of persons doing a lot of sporty tings in the winter olimpics this last few days.  I ruvved the skiing, and want to git myself sum skis so me and mudder can go out togedder.

it wuzzed very fascinating to see how strong these people are.

I cud be in the olimpics if they let doggies in...and if the sport wuzzed sleeping!  I would win a gold medal of my own!  and I bet those skiers wud be cheering for me to win.  Just not cheering too loud.
